PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The Annapurna Circuit Trek’s a Himalayan classic, covering 6-10 miles daily over moderate to challenging trails, peaking at Thorong La Pass (5,416m). You’ll need solid fitness – think regular hikes with elevation or cardio prep. March-May and September-November offer clear skies and 40-70°F days, with cold nights (20°F at high points). Fly into Kathmandu (KTM), where we’ll drive 6 hours to Besisahar to start. Teahouses are basic but cozy, with shared rooms (2-4 people), squat toilets, and no Wi-Fi – perfect for disconnecting. Meals are dal bhat, momos, and tea, with veggie options (tell us dietary needs). Altitude’s the big challenge; we acclimatize slowly, but bring Diamox just in case. Our Sherpa guides are mountain pros, sharing Buddhist tales and keeping groups small (max 10). Nepal requires a visa ($30-50, on arrival) and trekking permits (included); passports need 6 months’ validity. Travel insurance’s essential for altitude or evacuation risks. Bring a 20L daypack, sturdy boots, and layers – down jackets for high passes. Trails are rocky, with some steep climbs, so trekking poles help. We’re eco-friendly, supporting local teahouses and trail cleanup, so your trek respects Nepal’s mountains. Expect basic hygiene – wet wipes are your friend! Learn “namaste” to charm locals, and bring a water purifier for streams. Cash (NPR) is handy for snacks or tips (optional for guides). This trek’s tough but rewarding – every blister’s worth the views. Ready to summit your dreams? Let’s trek Annapurna!
