PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The Morocco Sahara Desert Camp’s a chill yet epic adventure, with camel rides (1-2 hours) and dune hikes (3-5 miles, moderate) in the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga. No experience needed – camels are gentle, and hikes are beginner-friendly, though sand’s tough on calves. Morocco’s hot (80-100°F days, 50-70°F nights), so March-May and September-November are best. Fly into Marrakech (RAK), and we’ll drive 8 hours to Merzouga (scenic but long!). Berber tents are cozy, with mattresses, lanterns, and shared latrines – no showers, so wet wipes are clutch. Meals are tagine, couscous, and mint tea, with veggie options (let us know). Our Berber guides are desert pros, sharing songs and survival tricks; groups max at 12 for a family vibe. Morocco’s visa-free for most (90 days); passports need 6 months’ validity. Travel insurance’s wise for trip or health issues. Bring a scarf (cheche) for sun and dust, plus sunglasses and a small daypack. Sandboarding’s included – it’s like snowboarding, but hotter! We’re eco-friendly, supporting Berber families and leaving dunes clean. Expect no Wi-Fi – the desert’s for unplugging. Learn “shukran” (thank you) to charm locals, and bring cash (MAD) for tips (optional) or souvenirs. Dust’s everywhere, so pack clothes you don’t mind getting sandy. Camel rides can jostle, so stretch before. The Sahara’s quiet is unreal – soak it in. This trip’s short but feels like a lifetime. Ready to live a desert movie? Let’s roll!
