So, I've been toying with an idea for a forum-based game, and suddenly had a breakthrough in concept. Instead of making all players play in a set routine of turns, it occurred to me that things would go much better if I set specific times for how long each action took, then informed players once the actions resolved.

The only problem is that I (or rather, the host), can't always be counted to be present at all hours to ensure updates get sent at the proper times.

Is it possible to write out a message (perhaps in the format of a PM), then designate a specific time which it should be sent?

I don't know, wouldn't that cause a glut of PMs crowding the inbox if you have to be pm'ed for every action you can take? Or maybe my brane is ungood rite now and me not undermastandingating.

Only if you take a shitload of the same actions at the same time.

Seriously, though, I don't think it would be all that excessive.

Interesting concept. I don't see the problem, so long as somebody (Ron) can code it to be done.

Since I can think now without worrying about being blown away, it might be a good idea. The only way we'd know for sure is to try it. We can always scrap it if it becomes annoying.

I didn't know they referenced that game, too. I knew about "So, you like Suikoden..."

I think he reads if you've got any Konami game in your memory card. Sort of a self-reference on Konami's part.

    He does Castlevania too.
